Yvonne (Mrs. Harold) Baldwin, 77, a resident of Fergus Falls, died Tuesday, January 13, 2009, at her home under the care of Lakeland Hospice. She was born December 10, 1931, in Star Lake Township of Otter Tail County, the daughter of Walter F. and Catherine (Rondeau) Harthun. Her mother later married Jerome Jenne. She graduated from Underwood High School in 1949. On November 26, 1952, she married Harold B. Baldwin in Sisseton, South Dakota. The early years were spent raising their three daughters and later, spending time with their grandchildren. She also worked part time sewing custom draperies. She was a member of Federated Church in Fergus Falls, and at one time was also a member of A Center for the Arts in Fergus Falls and Art of the Lakes in Battle Lake. Yvonne's passion was painting. On canvas, walls and even rocks, she loved mixing the colors brought forth by her imagination. She said she didn't feel complete, unless she was painting. Preceding her in death were her parents and stepfather, her brother, Mayo Harthun, and her half brother, Allen Jenne. Survivors include her husband, Harold, of Fergus Falls; three daughters: Sheila (Dennis) Grunewald of Duluth, Stacy (Wayne) Elliott of Richville, and Amy (Blaine) Peterson of Fergus Falls; six grandchildren: Jessica Pederson, Katherine (Pederson) Nelson, Gideon Pederson, Shawn Elliott, Ryan Peterson and Sara Peterson; two great-grandchildren, Noah and Bailey Nelson; a sister, Delores Huntley of Ottertail; a brother, Eugene (Janice) Harthun of Dent; and two half sisters, Joyce Huse of Fergus Falls, and Janet (Bryan) Wehrenberg of Dent.
