Wyonne S. Adamson

Wyonne S. Adamson, 92, a resident of Fergus Falls, died Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at Lake Region Hospital in Fergus Falls.

Wyonne Seneva Johnson Adamson was born in Dalton, on October 24, 1922. She was the youngest of four daughters, born to Benny and Martha (Skrove) Johnson. She was baptized on December 3, 1922 at St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Dalton and was confirmed on May 16, 1937 at First English Lutheran in Fergus Falls.

Her first six years were spent in Dalton until she moved to Fergus Falls in 1928, where she attended Lincoln grade school. After graduating in 1941 from Washington high school Wyonne attended beauty school in Minneapolis. During the war, she worked for Dr. Robert Featherstone as a dental assistant in Fergus Falls. At the close of the war, she married her high school sweetheart, Robert L. Adamson, on June 9, 1946 at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, who had just returned home from the Army Air Corp. To this union four children were born, Robert Wayne, Mary, Julie and Patricia. Bob and Wyonne made their home in Los Angeles, Ca, Fergus Falls, Minneapolis and Mankato.

Wyonne was a member of First Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls and Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Mankato, Sons of Norway and Red Hat Society.

She enjoyed family history and genealogy, gardening, taking photos, antiquing & collectibles, telling jokes and having fun.

Wyonne dedicated her life to being a homemaker and a loving Mom. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to many. She will be missed and loved always.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband Robert, on April 5, 1987; sisters, Helen and Norma.

She is survived by her children, Wayne (Jackie) Adamson of Plymouth, MN, Mary (Mark) Angell of Hopkins, MN, Julie (Rick) Borgens of Capistrano Beach, CA, Patty (Tom) Reisinger of St. Joseph, MN; grandchildren, Erika (Mark) Novak, Ben (Trisha) Adamson, Addy (Jacob) Hallen, Kay (Jake) Pederson, Mallory & Nicole Walser, Martha & Hannah Reisinger; great-grandchildren, Adamson, Ben, Rowan, Eliana Novak, Anna, Lauren, Ella Adamson, Gabe, Jocie, Sam Hallen, Julia & Lucy Pederson; sister, Viola Behrends of Morrisville, VT. Also surviving is her special friend, Dick Brimhall and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Friday, January 16, 2015 with a 7:30 p.m. prayer service at Olson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls. Visitation will resume one hour prior to the service at the church.
Service: 1 p.m. Saturday, January 17, 2015 at First Lutheran Church, Fergus Falls.
Clergy: Reverend Jennifer Rose and Father Bill Gamber
Interment: St. Otto’s Catholic Cemetery, Fergus Falls, MN
