William Ruppert

William "Bill" Ruppert, 63, of Fergus Falls, died June 16, 2024, at Essentia Health in Fargo, ND.

William "Bill" Orville Ruppert was born January 30, 1961, to Orville and Judy (Keeler) Ruppert in Slayton, MN. He attended school in Tracy, MN at St. Mary's Catholic School and Tracy High School. During his youth and early adult years he held several different jobs; he was also employed with ShoreMaster in dock sales and most recently with Voyager Industries in trailer sales.

He enlisted in the United States Navy and served in the Persian Gulf War during the Iran-Iraq Conflict.

Bill was an avid golfer. One of his favorite memories was attending the Ryder Cup as a spectator and being close enough to watch all of his favorite pros. He enjoyed watching the Minnesota Vikings as well as wagering on them with a long-time friend. Bill also enjoyed boating, fishing and for the last couple of years, he spent Saturday nights playing dominoes and cards with his sister, Jane.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother-in-law, Carl Burton.

Bill is survived by his siblings, Dennis, Dean, Lynn Solberg, Brian, Joe, Jane Burton, Hope (Ben) Schulz and Tammy (Brandt) Johnson; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visitation 1:00 - 3:00 p.m., Monday, July 1, 2024, at Olson Funeral and Cremation Chapel in Fergus Falls with a Celebration of Life prayer service at 2:30 p.m.
