Wesley Marlow Saurer, 52, a resident of Perham, died Sunday, November 28, 2010, at his home. He was born October 5, 1958, in Little Fork, Minnesota, the son of Victor and Lillian (Husfeldt) Saurer. He attended school in Big Falls, Minnesota, Clitherall, and graduated from Battle Lake High School. He then attended Wadena Technical College. Through the years he lived and worked in Fergus Falls, Henning, Richville, and Perham. Most recently he was employed at Mid-State Auto Auction in New York Mills. Wesley loved to fish, play cards with his friends, was an avid football fan, and enjoyed going to auctions. Preceding him in death were his parents, a brother, Rudolph, who died in 2002, and a brother-in-law, LeRoy Hanson. Survivors include four sisters: Carol Hanson of Fergus Falls, Betty (Al) Woida of Eagle Bend, Eunice (George) Woida of Urbank, and Loraine (Steven) Martineau of Elbow Lake; four brothers: Kenneth (Sue) Saurer of Clitherall, Harland (Alicia) Saurer of Temecula, CA, Melvin Saurer of Clarissa, and Russell Saurer of Perham; a sister-in-law, K Saurer of Hale, MI; and numerous nieces and nephews. There will be a memorial service at 1 p.m. Thursday, December 2, 2010, at the Olson Funeral Home chapel in Fergus Falls with Father Stan Wieser officiating. Interment will be at St. Elizabeth Cemetery in Elizabeth. Olson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls is in charge of arrangements.
