Wesley Lee

Wesley Lee, 83, of Fergus Falls, died Wednesday, April 14, 2010, at the Broen Memorial Home. He was born September 18, 1926, in Pelican Rapids, the son of Conrad and Ruth (Nettestad) Lee. He grew up and attended school in Pelican Rapids. Wesley served in the U.S. Army during World War II being stationed in Hawaii. Following his military service he returned to Pelican Rapids and was employed by Otter Tail Power Company as the General Foreman of the construction crew. He married Arlone Schmidt on April 13, 1952 in Pelican Rapids. The couple relocated to Jamestown, ND where Wes was in the Air Force Reserve and they lived there for 20 years. In 1972, they moved to Fergus Falls where he continued to work for Otter Tail Power Company in the General office as General Operations Supervisor, retiring in 1988, after 43 years of service. He was a member of the Fergus Falls VFW 612 and the American Legion Post 30 as well as the Elks Lodge and Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Wesley enjoyed the out of doors, camping at Elks Point, duck hunting, fishing and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also had a love for dogs and was never without one. Preceding him in death were his son, Randy; brother, William and his parents, Conrad and Ruth. Survivors include his wife, Arlone; a daughter, Sandra (Tom) Shearer of Duluth and a son, Steven (MariLynn Romslo) Lee of Fergus Falls; five grandchildren, Nicole Lee of Dalton, Lindsay (Patrick)  Arbach of Fargo, ND, Derek Meyer of Moorhead, Taryn Lee of Underwood and Randy Lee Jr. of Fergus Falls; three great-grandchildren, Elissa, Kadence and Kylie along with several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Also surviving are his four-legged friends, Katie, Kodi, Kelly, Lewis and Prinnie.
