Wayne A. Seeck, 79, of Moorhead, died November 10, 2017, at Sanford in Fargo.
He was born August 29, 1938, in Everts Township, rural Fergus Falls, the son of Arthur and Alice (Hanson) Seeck. In the early years of his life, the growing family moved north of Battle Lake and later to a farm in rural Breckenridge, where Arthur farmed for a short time. They then moved back to Battle Lake, where Art was employed at the Hatchery, until his death, when Wayne was 13 years old.
The family continued to live in Battle Lake until Wayne was 17, when they moved to Fergus Falls. Wayne was employed at Bunny Bread Bakery, and various other jobs including a stint of traveling with a carnival. Eventually he moved to Minneapolis for work, where he met and married Shirley in the late 1960s. In 1968, they moved to Arizona, moving back to Minneapolis in the early 1970s, where he was employed at Franklin Manufacturing and various other places, one of which was driving truck.
In the early 1980s, he married Bev. In the 1990s, he moved to the Hastey area, where he really seemed to blossom and enjoy himself. Along with working a fulltime job, he had a part time job in a garage not far from where he lived.
Wayne liked being helpful to people, and plowed snow for the neighbors. He joined a square dance group and enjoyed traveling and dancing with them. He moved to Big Lake, Monticello and then Buffalo, where he met and married Beth. They moved to the Fergus Falls area. Wayne enjoyed his weekly card game and lunch with his longtime friends, Gary Noble, Don Eggum and Herb Olson.
Preceding him in death were his parents; and brothers, Harold and Gary.
Survivors include his former wives, Shirley, Bev, and Beth; sisters-in-law, Nancy Seeck, Vicki Seeck Johnson; and several other relatives.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, November 16, 2017 at the Salvation Army, Fergus Falls with Reverend Harland Wasvick officiating. Assistance provided by Olson Funeral Home, Fergus Falls. Online condolences may be sent to
