Warren Dubbels

Warren Dubbels, 92, of Little Falls, formerly of Fergus Falls, died Monday, January 11, 2016, at Diamond Willows Assisted Living in Little Falls.
He was born January 10, 1924, in Scandia Valley Township, rural Lincoln, Minnesota, the son of Joseph Sr. and Verna (Tradup) Dubbels. He farmed with his father and enlisted in the Navy after attending Ag School in St. Paul.
On October 16, 1948, he married Esther L. Bolland in Ottertail, Minnesota. They lived near Henning for a short time then moved to rural Fergus Falls, where he farmed. He was a Fieldman for NFO Specialties Division. They later moved to Horace, where they lived for 25 years before flooding forced them to move again. He resided in Henning in his own home for a few years until moving to Little Falls to be near his daughter.
Warren was a member of the Missouri Synod Church, a longtime member of NFO, belonged to the CCC when he was young, enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting and reading. His favorite pastime was raising plants, especially lilies and iris.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife and three sisters, Alaire, Bernelda and Mona.
Survivors include a brother, Joe Dubbels; a sister, Donna Thiel; children, Patryce (Robert) Thomas of Royalton and their children Dylan, Dustin (Joan) great-grandchild, Ebbaney; Gretchen (Arlie) Radway of Plainview, SD and their children Matt (Kendra) and their children Franchesca and Fiona, Greta (Joe) Miller and their children Cela, Ethan and Alexander, Heidi (Onofre) Sanchez and their children Mikael, Natasia and Dresden, and Jason Radway; John (Sheree) of Fergus Falls and their children, Derek and Rochelle; Paul (Kursten) of Fergus Falls and their children Kristofer (Kaitlin) and Kellen (significant other, Ashley); Mary (Roger Schmidt) Hunt of Gering, NE and Ruth (Andy) Johnson of Bruce, WI and their son Elijah.
Visitation: 5-7 p.m. Friday, January 15, 2016, at the funeral home and will resume one hour prior to the service at the church
Service: 11 a.m. Saturday, January 16, 2016, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Henning
