Wallace “Wally” P. Moe, 89, of Fergus Falls, died Sunday, December 25, 2023 at the MN Veteran’s Home in Fergus Falls.
Wallace Palmer Moe was born July 30, 1934 in Oscar Township, the son of Magnus and Petra (Stuveland) Moe. He graduated from Fergus Falls High School in 1952. In May 1954, Wally entered in to the United States Army, serving in Korea. He was discharged in May of 1957.
On January 25, 1959, Wally married Mary Stock at Federated Church in Fergus Falls.
In 1959, he joined Hintgen Karst Electric Co., then Ottertail Power Company in 1964. Wally retired from Ottertail Power Company in 1996, after 32 years of service. After retirement, he drove for the Red Cross, MN Motors, and Meals on Wheels.
He was a member of Federated Church in Fergus Falls and served on various boards. He was also a member of the Fergus Falls Fire Department for 21 years, the VFW, the Eagles, and the Walk of Flags.
Wally enjoyed spending time with his family, golfing, playing cards with his friends, and wintering in Arizona.
Preceding him in death were his wife, Mary; son, Kevin; his father and mother, Magnus and Petra Moe; brother, Harvey, Melford (Anabel) Moe, and Dennis Moe, and brother-in-law, Tom Hahn.
Wally is survived by his two daughters, Cynthia Moe of Fergus Falls and Barbara Meder of Dalton; three grandchildren, Marcus (Rebekah) Meder, Courtney (Marc) Runningen, and Jennifer (Josh) Hicks; seven great-grandchildren, Keira, Graham, Lydia, Johanna, Maila, Mokia, and Owen; sister, Shirley Hahn, and sister-in-law, Sharon Moe.
Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 5, 2024 at Olson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls, with visitation one-hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Military Participation: Fergus Falls VFW Post 612 and American Legion Post 30
Interment: Oak Grove Cemetery, Fergus Falls, MN
