Wallace Raymond Johnson, age 94, of Fergus Falls, died Wednesday, January 20, 2016, at the Broen Home in Fergus Falls.
Wallace was born on November 18, 1921, to Arthur W. and Anna (Lidbeck) Johnson, in rural Valley City, ND. At the age of 1 ½ years, he moved with his family to Cyrus, MN. He graduated from Cyrus High Shool in 1939.
On May 21, 1955, he married Mildred Delia Johnson at Eksjo Lutheran Church in Lake Park. Also, in 1955, Wallace, a Certified Public Accountant, opened his office in Fergus Falls. The couple made their home in Fergus Falls, where Mildred worked with him in his accounting practice. He was the ultimate professional and was very kind and gracious.
Wallace especially enjoyed summers spent at their seasonal home on Wall Lake and their fall vacation trips. As a youth, Wallace derived a lot of enjoyment from his Harley Davidson motorcycle.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Anna Johnson; his beloved wife, Mildred Johnson in 2009; his brother, Lester Johnson; and his sisters-in-law, Betty Johnson and Inez Pearson.
He is survived by a niece, Carol Ann Taylor and her friend, Clint Noack of St. Cloud; a grand-nephew, Darin Jacobson of Shakopee and a grand-niece, Angela Jacobson of Burnsville and their families; a brother-in-law, Lloyd Pearson and a niece, Diane Pearson of Hawley; numerous cousins; and his special friends, Dan Charlson, Linda Cannon and Dic Pickett, all of Fergus Falls.
