Wade Alan Klinnert, aged 56, passed away on October 20, 2024, at home in Wagoner, Oklahoma. Born on March 14, 1968, in Fergus Falls, Minnesota, Wade was known for his profound love for the outdoors, his dedication to imparting life skills to children, especially teaching them about hunting, and his deep faith in God.
Wade's early years were marked by his enthusiasm for stock car racing, a skill complemented by his professional expertise as an alignment specialist. His adventurous spirit was also evident in his love for ice racing, barefoot skiing, ice fishing, and snowmobiling. A gifted gardener, Wade took pleasure in mastering the art of cultivating vegetables in the challenging soils of Oklahoma, contrasting sharply with those of his native Minnesota. Wade loved tinkering in the garage and making sure that there was no dirt or oil on the floor and raking the driveway so there were no ruts or pot holes, he even went as far as to dumping gravel on the county road to make it better. That was the thing about Wade, he always left things better than what they were when he found them. With Wade there was always weeds to be sprayed, trails to be cut, corn to be put out or beavers to shoot. As long as he was outside working on something, he was happy.
Family was central to Wade's life. He loved watching his kids excel in the things they loved and was always involved in their activities. No matter where he was, the kids around him became his kids too. He loved teaching them life skills and to see the good in even the hardest situations.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa Klinnert; daughter, Nicole Medley and her husband, Dakota; son, Cody Klinnert and his wife, Hope, along with their daughter, Rowan; "adopted son" Steven Arroyo Sandoval and his wife, Kaitlin; and god-daughter, Reagan Peet. He also leaves behind his parents, Jerome and Henrietta Klinnert; in-laws, Randy and Peggy Nelson; brother & sister-in-law, Bruce and Jen Albjerg and their children Annie, Emmy, Mily and Johanna, Jason and Sarah Nelson and their children, Logan Nelson and Maddi Anderson and husband Weston and their daughter Ellowyn, Cody Nelson and family and Jeff Albjerg, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Wade was preceded in death by his infant daughter, McKenzie Klinnert; sister-in-law, Heidi Nelson; and his paternal and maternal grandparents.
Wade was a graduate of Battle Lake High School, class of 1987, where he began cultivating many lifelong relationships and interests. He began working with his dad at Auto Safety Service in Fergus Falls, MN and eventually purchased the company from his dad. They worked together until 2008, when God told Wade to move to Oklahoma and start a business. He loved the work he did as a suspension/alignment specialist and loved being able to train the next generation. He officially clocked out for the last time after 38 years.
