Virginia Sundberg Bunkowske

Virginia Sundberg Bunkowske, 91, a resident of Milwaukee and formerly of Fergus Falls, passed away on January 19, 2018, in Milwaukee.

Virginia was born in the Fergus Falls area on January 30, 1926, to Oscar and Linnea Thunselle, and grew up on a farm outside of town.

Caring, attentive and with a wonderful laugh, she loved spending time with her family, and is loved and missed by her son, Dennis (Michelle) Sundberg of Milwaukee; three grandchildren whom she adored, Kai Wicker, Jordan Sundberg and Jasmine Sundberg. She is also survived by a sister, Helen (Embert) Larson; two sisters-in law, Margaret Thunselle and Lorraine Sundal, as well as nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Linnea Thunselle; her husbands, James Sundberg and Milton Bunkowske; and her brother, Dale Thunselle.

Visitation: One hour prior to the public prayer service at the funeral home
Public Prayer Service: 2 p.m. Thursday, June 21, 2018, at Olson Funeral Home Chapel in Fergus Falls
