Vincent Oliver Johnson, 87, a resident of Fergus Falls, formerly of Walker, MN, died Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at the Minnesota Veterans Home in Fergus Falls, Minnesota. He was born December 22, 1920, in Rush City, Minnesota, the son of John M. and Agnes W. (Berntson) Johnson. He was baptized and confirmed at the First Lutheran Church in Rush City. On September 14, 1946, he married Marion M. Carlson. One daughter was born into this union, Linda, on December 8, 1950. Mr. Johnson served in World War II in the Army-Air Force. He worked for the railroad his entire adult life retiring as a section foreman in Walker, MN. Survivors include his daughter, Linda (Floyd) Snelling of Hewitt, MN; his brother, Arnold (Joyce) Johnson; sisters-in-law Marcia, Margaret, and Doris Johnson; Bernice Carlson; brother and sister-in-law Warren and Ellen Carlson; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Honorary pallbearers are Anders, Martin, Dale and Peter Johnson, Steve Carlson and Darrel Johnson. Soloist is Mr. Jon Scheele with Doris Swanson, Organist. Vincent’s wishes were to be cremated and buried in the Rush City Cemetery.
