Vicki Boyd

Vicki Joy Boyd, 51, a resident of Fergus Falls, died suddenly Wednesday, July 9, 2008, at MeritCare Hospital in Fargo, North Dakota.  Vicki was born July 21, 1956, in Fergus Falls, Minnesota, the eldest of seven children of Glen and Mary (Elshaug) Kenyon. She grew up in Maplewood Township and graduated from Pelican Rapids High School in 1974. She also attended the Fergus Falls Community College. She was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1974 and enjoyed her time spent teaching others about the wonderful hope the Bible holds out for the future. She also enjoyed life and time spent with her family, friends, and especially her grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She touched anyone she met. Vicki had a smile that would light a room, and a personality that was unforgettable. Preceding her in death were her sister, Gayle Brandt; her paternal grandparents, Dell and Louise Kenyon; maternal grandparents, Oscar and Ragna Elshaug; a nephew, Benjamin Kenyon and uncles, Carroll, Edwin and Oscar Elshaug. Survivors include her parents, Glen and Mary Ann of Fergus Falls; her children: Jack Boyd of Duluth, Travis (Becky) Boyd of Fergus Falls, James Boyd of Duluth, and Jeanette (Jason) Bonde of Kathryn, ND; her grandchildren: Zachary, Justin, Madelyn, Isabelle, Jettsi and Adalynn; her siblings: Julie (Bruce) Ritchie of Fergus Falls, Jeffery (Jana) Kenyon of Vining, LeahAnn (Grant) Nygaard of Erhard, Scott (Cheryl) Kenyon of Erhard, and Bradley (Brittany) Kenyon of Fergus Falls; and nieces and nephews Sarah Eveland, Steven Kugler, and Brittany, Christopher, Blade, Bobbi Jo, Brandi and Braden Kenyon. Vicki will be sorely missed by all, but especially by her nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
