Vernon Nilson

Vernon Ray Nilson was born on September 19, 1961 to William and Verna (Banister) Nilson, in Morris MN. He was baptized and confirmed at Elim Lutheran Church in Clinton MN. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with friends. He was a meat cutter for many years but especially loved working at Productive Alternatives in Fergus Falls, helping to train disabled people for work opportunities.

Vernon passed away on November 17, 2022 at Lake Region Hospital at the age of 61. He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Verna Nilson; two brothers, Elden and Timmy Nilson; a brother-in-law, Mark Carlson; a niece, Chelsie Grundhauser; a nephew, Kaden Gary, and his beloved dog, Dozer.

He is survived by two brothers, Bradley Nilson and Victor (Darcy) Nilson and two sisters, Audrey (Dale) Gary and Val (Darin) Seifert; one niece and eleven nephews, as well as great nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, December 4th at 2:00 p.m. at the Graceville Community Center. All family and friends are welcome to attend.
