Timothy Neil Honrud, 62, a resident of Rothsay, died Tuesday, May 17, 2011, at Lake Region Hospital in Fergus Falls. He was born November 6, 1948, in Fergus Falls, Minnesota, the son of Bennie and Ruth (Peterson) Honrud. He grew up on the family farm near Rothsay, attending special education classes in Pelican Rapids. He helped around the farm and worked at day activities in Elizabeth. On January 1, 1978, he began working for Productive Alternatives in Fergus Falls, working in the wood shop, and doing custodial services in the Fergus area. Tim enjoyed All-Star Wrestling, four-wheeling, and looked forward to being in the Erhard 4th of July parade. He was also a good help around the house. He was preceded in death by his father in 1970. Survivors include his mother, Ruth Honrud of rural Rothsay; two brothers, Gary Honrud of rural Rothsay, and Michael (Cyrilla Grover) Honrud of Fergus Falls; one nephew, Steve Honrud and family of Erhard; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Memorials are preferred to the Grace Lutheran Church Building Fund.
