Theresa Jayne Marshall, 53, a resident of Fergus Falls, died peacefully Saturday, January 08, 2011 at the Lakeland Hospice House, surrounded by her family after an eight year battle with cancer. Theresa was born on September 24, 1957 in Breckenridge, MN, the daughter of Gene and Patricia (Leitch) Currier. She grew up in Fergus Falls and was baptized at Trinity Lutheran Church. She graduated from Fergus Falls High School in 1976. After high school she attended Fergus Falls Community College and graduated with a nursing assistant degree. On August 21, 1989, she married Dwight Marshall in Sisseton, SD. Through the years, Theresa was employed with the Broen Memorial Home, Taco Johns and Lake Region Healthcare. On August 23, 2010 she resigned her position as a surgical assistant at Lake Region Healthcare after 28 years of service. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, where she was confirmed. She was also a member of the Eagles Auxiliary and various bowling leagues. She was an avid follower of the Minnesota Vikings, loved to bowl, bake rhubarb and pumpkin pies, do jigsaw puzzles, read, play marbles and loved her cats, Princess and Tiger. Preceding her in death were her father, Gene, who died in 1982; brother-in-law, Brad Muchow, who died in 1981; her grandparents, Clarence and Leola Currier and Russell and Esther Leitch. Survivors include her children, Heather Marshall of Chicago and Justin Marshall of Fergus Falls; mother, Patricia (Andy) Formo of Fergus Falls; sisters, Jeanie (Gary) Hutchins, Sharon Currier and Tracy (Russ) Muchow all of Fergus Falls; step-sisters, Diane (Tim) Arnold of Clear Lake, Kathy (Tom) Hagaman of Shakopee, Nancy Korby of Fergus Falls; step-brother, Larry Formo of Big Piney, WY along with numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Also surviving is her extended family, the LRH Surgical Services Department, the Anesthesia Department and Pat Glynn, who cared for her like a brother. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday with public prayer service at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service at the church.
