Susan Leitte

Susan "Sue" Leitte, 83, of Fergus Falls, died Tuesday, December 24, 2024 at her residence.

Susan Lynn Leitte (nee Hanse) was born Feb. 12, 1942. She was raised in Stevens County on a family farm, helping her parents grain farm and raise chickens. She attended Cyrus schools, graduating from high school in 1960. Sue attended Augsburg College, getting a teaching degree. She taught in both Detroit Lakes and Fergus Falls, MN.

In 1967 she married Steven Rae Leitte; they were married for 56 years. Together she and Steve owned and operated Steve's Cycle from 1978 to 2006. She and Steve had two daughters, Lynn Leitte and Julie Hovel.

Sue lived life to the fullest, loving to ride motorcycles with Steve, car road trips, riding 4-wheelers, and fishing the local lakes in the summer. In winter she loved snowmobiling and ice fishing. She was an avid vegetable gardener sharing produce from her large garden with family, friends, the Salvation Army food shelf, and the Augustana Apartments in Fergus.
