Steven Schleeter

Steven Schleeter, 50, of Rothsay, died Wednesday, November 21, 2007, at Lake Region Hospital, Fergus Falls. He was born September 24, 1957, in Sauk Centre, the son of John and Patsy (Brown) Schleeter. He lived in a variety of places throughout Minnesota, as his father was a contractor. For the last 17 years, he has resided in the Rothsay area while managing the Buff and Shine Car Wash in Fergus Falls and later owned a car wash called Wash and Shine. Steven served in the U.S. Army in 1974-1975. He enjoyed buying and selling items, playing cards, gambling and fishing. His father, John, preceded him in death. Survivors include his daughter, Kari Wood of Savage; three sons, Ronald Wood of Campbell, Daryl Schleeter of Barnesville and Joseph Schleeter of Fergus Falls; his mother, Pat Schleeter of Dent; two grandchildren, Brianna and Kayla; two sisters, Sara (Steve) Selman of Rothsay and Dorie (Mark) Connolly of Richfield; two brothers, Johnny Schleeter and Jeffrey (Michele) of Fargo along with his significant other, Laurie Sandberg of Rothsay.
