Steven Michael Maack, 50, a resident of Elizabeth, Minnesota, died Monday, July 14, 2008, at his home. Steven was born on December 17, 1957 in Fergus Falls, the son of Elroy and Mary Lou (Griepentrog) Maack. He was raised in Elizabeth and was baptized and confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church. He attended School District #1399 until eighth grade and then continued in Fergus Falls, graduating from Fergus Falls High School in 1975. He then attended Wahpeton State School of Science. He was employed at Nelson Brothers Printing from 1977 – 1987. In 1990 he began his current job, working for the Minnesota Department of Transportation as a civil engineer. Steven enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling, and fast pitch softball. Survivors include his parents, Elroy and Mary Lou Maack of Elizabeth; one brother, Wesley Maack of Blaine; one sister Debra (Roger) Jorgenson of Rothsay; a nephew, Nathan Maack and a niece, Carissa Maack; an uncle, Harold of Babbitt; an aunt, Helen (Pete) Hamlin of Overland Park, Kansas, and many cousins and friends.
