Steven Cavazos, 67, of Barrett, formerly of Fergus Falls, died Saturday, December 10, 2022 at Barrett Care Center.
Steven Nelson Cavazos was born March 31, 1955 to Nelson and Jean (Sinclair) Cavazos in St. Paul, MN.
He graduated from Moorhead High School in 1973. After high school he attended Concordia College earning a Bachelor’s Degree and also Northern State College, graduating in 1978.
On November 27, 1983, Steven married Diane Anderson in Wahpeton, ND.
He was employed with Mathison’s Art Supply Store as a salesman for three years, Christian Record Service as a solicitor for 20 years, and Kings Solutions for two years. In 2008 he became disabled, having stroke like migraines.
Steven was a member of Seventh-day Adventist Church. He was baptized on November 14, 1981.
He enjoyed golfing and lettered his Junior and Senior year in high school, he continued playing from 1975 to 2010. He worked at Meadows Golf Course and Village Green as a ranger and watching golf. He also enjoyed playing board games with friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Jean and Nelson Cavazos.
Steven is survived by his wife, Diane Cavazos of Fergus Falls; son, Michael (Ali) Cavazos of Rapids City, SD, and grandchildren, Jason Cavazos and Ethan Cavazos.
Memorial Service: 2:30 p.m. Saturday, January 28, 2022 at Seventh-day Adventist Church in Wahpeton, ND
