Stephanie Krog

Stephanie Denise (Pratt) Krog, 65, of Erhard, MN, passed away at PioneerCare under the care of Knute Nelson Hospice on June 13, 2024. Stephanie was born September 20, 1958, in Las Vegas, NV, to James Pratt and Donna (Woods) Pratt. 

The Pratt family moved to Burns, OR, where she graduated from high school in 1976. This is also where Stephanie met and fell in love with her “Baby” and the love of her life, Larry Krog. It may have been his big smile or the fact he drove a 1967 silver Pontiac GTO convertible, but they were soon married on May 7, 1977, in Burns, Oregon. Shortly after they packed up and moved to Erhard, MN, where they built their home from the ground up. They started with nothing more than a one room “shack” and a few acres. When they finished, they had the home of their dreams, including a grand living room, where during Christmas, the family admired Stephanie’s gigantic, perfectly decorated tree.

 Stephanie attended Fergus Falls Community College and received a Registered Nursing Degree and later worked at Lake Region Healthcare for 25 years. She had a passion for Trauma Care and worked in the Emergency Department. Patients to this day will comment, “Stephanie took such good care of me.”

A Vegas girl at heart, Stephanie had a love for fashion, especially miniskirts, and she had one in every color and size. With her favorite skirt, love of her life, family and friends, she would love to go dancing, even going so far to take line dance lessons. Her favorite song was “Mustang Sally” and enjoyed decorating, collecting antiques yard sales and torturing nieces and nephews by shopping at Savers for hours. Stephanie would have the best pool parties, and she may or many not have tanned by the pool in the nude. Wherever Stephanie was, laughter and fun was had.

 She is survived by her siblings, Michele Dart, Mike (Korena) Pratt, Stephan (Amanda) Pratt, Jeffrey (Teri) Pratt; sisters-in-law, Marlene Metzger and Paula (Kurt) Anderson; brother-in-law, Terry Krog; nieces, Chasity Krog, Jami Krog, Ashely (Mac) Abel and Jessica (Mike) Kugler; nephews, Jason Krog and Aric Krog; and numerous other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. 

 She is preceded in death by her husband, Larry Krog and her parents, Jim and Donna Pratt.

 Please join family and friends for a Prayer Service and Celebration of Life, Saturday June 15, 2024 at 3:00 p.m., at her niece, Ashley’s home, 23840 Aurdal River Road, Fergus Falls, MN,  (Please bring a dish to share along with a chair. Meat, pop and water provided BYOB)
