Stanley Carl Anderson, 81, a resident of Fergus Falls, died Wednesday, June 22, 2011, at Lake Region Hospital in Fergus Falls. He was born December 1, 1929, in Fergus Falls, Minnesota, the son of Benny and Inga M. (Olson) Anderson. He attended school in Fergus Falls. He worked as an auto mechanic at the Log Cabin Service Station from 1946 – 1951. Stanley served in the U. S. Army from 1951 – 1953 during the Korean Conflict, receiving three Bronze Service Stars, a Korean Service Medal, and the United Nations Service Medal for his service. In February of 1956 he married Delores Sundblad in Fergus Falls. He was employed for 33 years with Honeywell in their Aerospace and Defense division, serving as a foreman. He only missed three days of work during his time with them. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion. Stanley liked to tinker and putz, and enjoyed having coffee with friends. He seemed to be “everywhere!” He was the neighborhood watchdog, always there to lend a hand. He also enjoyed farming and old time music and polka music. He was known for his famous quotes, including “Good enough”, “I found it on the side of the road”, and “I can’t just sit around like you, I have work to do.” Preceding him in death were his parents, a sister and brother-in-law, Laverne Lee and Clifford Lee, and a grandson, Christopher Anderson. Survivors include his children: Greg (Jackie) Anderson of Cook, MN, Deb (Vern) Tabbut of Fergus Falls, Brad (Jill) Anderson of Fergus Falls, and Pamela Anderson of Fergus Falls; his grandchildren: Jason (Danielle) Preston of Fergus Falls, John Anderson of Bemidji, Josh (Missy) Preston of Rochester, Jake (Jenny) Loomer of Fergus Falls, Carl Loomer of Fergus Falls, Troy (Alyssa) Anderson of Fergus Falls, Erin Anderson of North Dakota, Austen Tabbut of Fergus Falls, Christine Anderson of Vermont, and Shelby Tabbut of Fergus Falls; and nine great-grandchildren: Emily, Chance, Tayton, Summer, Colby, Ally, James, Makayla, and Aiden.
