Stacey Nicole Korby, 18, of Fergus Falls, died Saturday, September 1, 2012, at Sanford Hospital in Fargo, North Dakota. She was born November 21, 1993, in Fergus Falls, Minnesota, the daughter of Steven G. and Nancy L. (Formo) Korby. She was baptized and confirmed at First Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls. She graduated from Fergus Falls High School in 2012, and was currently enrolled in the Nursing Program at M-State in Fergus Falls. She worked for her family in Korby Construction, presently working on the Dunvilla Bridge. She was also a home healthcare aide for New Dimensions, and enjoyed caring for others. Stacey loved swimming at the lake, dancing, gymnastics, and volunteered in many things through her church and community. She loved doing scrapbooking and photo editing with her friends. Frisbee golf, listening to music, driving sporty cars, and shopping, especially for shoes, were all favorite activities, as well as deer hunting with her dad. She loved her family and was everyone’s favorite. She also enjoyed sharing Tootsie Rolls. Preceding her in death were her grandparents, Austin and Edna Korby. Survivors include her parents, Nancy Korby (Rick Vold) and Steven Korby (Beth Henkes-Jacobs) all of Fergus Falls; a sister, Ashley Korby of Moorhead; two brothers: Michael (Kendra) Korby and Jason (Kaylee) Korby, all of Fergus Falls; nieces, Chevelle, Malibu and Kaja; grandparents: Colleen Wahl and Andy and Pat Formo, all of Fergus Falls; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Visitation: 5-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and resumes one hour prior to the service at the church.
