Sherry Teich

April 5, 1958 — November 10, 2008

Sherry Lyn Teich, 50, a resident of Underwood, and formerly of Chaska, died Monday, November 10, 2008, at Lake Region Hospital in Fergus Falls, Minnesota. She was born April 5, 1958, in Hutchinson, Minnesota, the daughter of Emmert and Dorathy (Karels) Schroeder. She grew up in New Germany on the family dairy farm. Sherry was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lester Prairie. She attended school in Watertown, graduating in 1976, and then attended St. Cloud State University. On February 21, 1987 she married Daniel Lee Teich at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lester Prairie. She worked as an administrative assistant for Security Systems. In 2005 the family moved to Underwood and she was a homemaker. She was a member of the YMCA, and Tordenskjold Free Lutheran Church; she was a past member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Lester Prairie. Sherry enjoyed baking, fishing, Minnesota Twins baseball, travel, and especially watching Collin’s sporting events. Preceding her in death were her grandparents. Survivors include her husband, Daniel Teich, and her son, Collin Teich of Underwood; her parents, Emmert and Dorathy Schroeder of New Germany; two sisters: Joan (Jack) Holmes of Elk River and LaVonne (Gary) Johnson of New Germany; a sister-in-law, Tracy Massie-Brown of Shakopee; nieces and nephews: Adam (Anna) Holmes, Allison (Russ) Risdal, Andy (Jackie) Holmes, Holly (Justin) Davis, Josh Johnson, Drew Massie, Behn Massie, and Jed Brown; great-nephews and niece: Walter and Hugo Holmes and Reese Risdal; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, and the original “six pack” of friends. Visitation:  12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, November 14 at the church in Lester Prairie Service:  2 p.m. Friday, November 14 at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lester Prairie Clergy:   Reverend Eric Nelson Funeral Home:  Paul McBride Funeral Chapel, Lester Prairie, MN There will  also be a memorial service at 7 p.m. Tuesday, November 18 at Zion-Sarpsborg Lutheran Church, Dalton with Reverend Steve Carlson and Pastor Mark Johnson officiating.
