Shelly Sjolie

Shelly Dureen Stenson Sjolie, a resident of the Twin Cities, and formerly of Fergus Falls, died Tuesday, February 5, 2008, at her home under the care of her family. She was born July 25, 1956 in Perham, Minnesota, the daughter of Howard and LouAnn (Hanson) Sjolie. She was baptized at Bethel Free Lutheran Church in Pelican Rapids, and confirmed and married at Zion Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls. Shelly attended Fergus Falls High School and Community College and then attended North Hennepin Community College in the Twin Cities for computer networking. She married Wayne Stenson on April 23, 1977 and shortly after moved to the Twin Cities area. She was employed as an associate manager for Perkins in Maple Grove, where co-workers and customers lovingly referred to her as "Flo". She was also an office manager for InterNetwork Services in Maple Grove and ProStaff in Delano. Shelly was a leader for Bible Study Fellowship in the Twin Cities area for ten years. She loved to take people under her wing and help them to fly. She was a wonderful homemaker and mother to her two children Joshua and Tiffany-Ann who were the light and loves of her life. Preceding her in death were her father, Howard Sjolie, and her grandparents, Anna and Andrew Hanson, and Oscar and Hilda Sjolie. Survivors include her mother, LouAnn Sjolie of Fergus Falls; her children: Joshua Stenson of Mayer, MN and Tiffany-Ann Stenson of Minneapolis; former husband, Wayne Stenson of Maple Grove; her brothers Kirk (Patty) Sjolie of Fergus Falls, Todd (Jill) Sjolie of Richville, Wade (Jodi) Sjolie of Dent, and Darin (Rachelle) Sjolie of Pelican Rapids, and numerous nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her beloved little dog Chloe. Visitation: One hour prior to the service at the church Service: 2 p.m. Saturday at Zion Lutheran Church, 202 E.
