Sharon Kay Raw

Sharon Kay Raw, 76, a resident of Fergus Falls, passed away Saturday, May 18, 2019, at Broen Home in Fergus Falls, MN.

She was born on June 5, 1942, the daughter of Nanton and Elma (Jenson) Raw in Pelican Rapids, MN. She was baptized and confirmed at South Immanuel in Rothsay, MN. Sharon attended rural grade school in Wilkin County, District 3 and graduated from Rothsay Public School in 1960.

Sharon worked at Dakota Electric Supply in Fargo, ND. and Stop-N- Go in Moorhead, MN. as Deli Manager. While working at Stop -N-Go she moved back to her parent’s farm home by Rothsay and took care of her mother and father until they passed away. She then moved into an apartment in Rothsay until ill health necessitated moving to the Mill Street Residence in Fergus Falls and then to Broen Home.

Sharon was a member of South Immanuel Lutheran Church. She enjoyed reading, bowling, playing cards and going on excursions with the Senior Citizens.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Nanton and Elma Raw; grandparents, Carl and Carrie Raw; brother, Charles Raw; baby sister, Laurie Jean Raw (still born); niece Colleen Davis; nephew, Steven Buss and several cousins.

Survivors include sister-in-law, Barb Raw of Cold Springs, MN; nieces and nephews, Brenda and Daniel Raw, Michelle (Lawrence) Beauchamp, Tamara Raw, Loreen (Danny) Sandberg, Brian (Patricia) Buss; several great nieces and nephews; an aunt, Ruby Fox, of Sun City, AZ, as well as several cousins.

Visitation: One hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Service: 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at Olson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls, MN.

Clergy: Reverend Phil Tobin

Cemetery: South Emmanuel Cemetery, rural Rothsay, MN.
