Sharon Pederson

Sharon V. Pederson, 88, resident of Fergus Falls, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November 22, 2024, at LB Broen Home also under the care of Vivie (Knute Nelson Hospice) in Fergus Falls, MN.

Sharon was born on October 8, 1936, to Harvey and Carrie (Elmore) Ott in rural Maine Township. Sharon attended country school in Maine Township, District 251.

On June 13, 1953, Sharon was united in marriage to Verdelle Pederson at Sverdrup Lutheran Church in Underwood, MN. Verdelle and Sharon were married 44 years and shared five daughters together.

Sharon was employed with Red Owl Supermarket for over twenty years and with Walmart Super Center for eighteen years, retiring at the age of 78. She valued her continued friendships with her colleagues throughout the years.

Sharon belonged to The Church of the Nazarene in Fergus Falls, where she had her "assigned" seat every Sunday and enjoyed fellowship with other members.

Anyone who knew Sharon realized she was a woman with impeccable style and a great sense of humor. Sharon's greatest joy was spending time with her family.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Verdelle Pederson; son-in-law, Dixon Esary; brother, Gilbert Ott; sister and brother-in-law, Ieleen (Carl) Trites.

Survivors include her daughters, Bonnie (Brett) Hopponen, Barbara Esary, Becky (Michael) Mulvaney, Kay (Wayne) Evavold, Shari Pederson, all of Fergus Falls, former son-in-law Ricky (Sheila) Kugler; eighteen grandchildren, Carrie (Nick) Anderson, Kelly (Justin) Arneson, Chad (Marinna) Hopponen, Samuel Esary, Jamie (Jason) Esary-Waasdorp, Kelly (Mark) Glennon, Gina (Adam) Pederson, Michael Mulvaney, Matthew Mulvaney, Dallas (Genevieve) Rostad, Nicole Rostad, Heather (Curtis) Sandahl, Kris (Carol) Evavold, Dan Evavold, Jessica (Matthew) Fowler, Lindsay (Joe) Hauer, Matthew (Lindsey) Kugler and Ashley (Chase) Lee; thirty-eight great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; brother, Larry (Sally) Ott and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Park Gardens and LB Broen for the loving care they showed Sharon.

Visitation: 11:30 a.m.- 1 p.m. Friday, November 29, 2024 at The Church of the Nazarene in Fergus Falls.

Memorial Service: 1 p.m., Friday, November 29, 2024 at The Church of the Nazarene in Fergus Falls.

Interment: Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery, Fergus Falls
