Shane Borders

Shane Alan Borders, a beloved father, grandfather, friend, and hardworking member of the Brainerd Lakes and Fergus Falls communities, passed away on Saturday, March 1st, 2025. He was born on February 3rd, 1958 to Emilie Anderson & Junior Borders. A gentle and kind soul, he had a way of making friends wherever he went, never meeting a stranger-just someone he hadn't talked to yet.

With a strong work ethic and a dedication to providing for his family, Shane spent years working tirelessly in the concrete business, both through his own company and alongside others. His hands shaped more than just foundations; they built lasting relationships and a reputation for honesty and hard work. No matter how long the day or how tough the job, he faced it with an upbeat spirit and a willingness to lend a hand.

Above all, he loved his family deeply. His kids and grandkids meant the world to him, and he was always proud of them. The love they have for him will carry on, a reflection of the kindness and warmth he shared throughout his life.

Shane is preceded in death by Emilie Anderson, Junior Borders and Connie Holtz(sister). He is survived by his children, Heather Wermter(Scott) Michael Anderson, Chantel Huckfeldt(David), Shane Borders (Alaina) Jordin Borders, Jake Borders, his cherished grandchildren, Charlotte, Zarek, Ava, Dawson, Dakota, Emily, Easton, Aylah; as well as his step-children and grandchildren. He will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love, generosity, and hard work will live on in the lives he touched.

A Celebration of Life is planned for Saturday July 5, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Pillager Community Center 207 East 2nd Street in Pillager, MN 56473.
