Scott Allen Jorgens, 42, a resident of Fergus Falls, died Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at St. Francis Hospital in Breckenridge, Minnesota. He was born October 20, 1969, in Fergus Falls, Minnesota, the son of James and Jeannette (Formo) Jorgens. He was baptized and confirmed at Grace United Methodist Church. He grew up in Fergus Falls, attending Adams Elementary School and Fergus Falls High School, graduating in 1988. He attended the Fergus Falls Community College from 1988 – 1990, and then Alexandria Technical College, graduating in 1992 with a Marine and Small Engine degree. On November 6, 1999, he married his true love, Kelly Jean Hecker, at Grace United Methodist Church in Fergus Falls. They made their home in Fergus Falls. After graduating from Alex Tech, Scott worked for Stubb’s Marine in Battle Lake until he went to work at Foxhome Repair, where he remained for many years. He moved with the business to Wahpeton when it became Valley Sports, where he remained until 2002 when he went to work for Pepsi America. Most recently Scott worked the past five years with his good friend, Brian Steeves, running Web Stores. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and the Oval Racing Association. Snowmobiling was a passion of Scott’s since he was four years old. He loved snowmobile racing and raced the MRP Circuit, radar runs, and most recently he had gotten back into ORA Circuit Racing. He enjoyed bowling, motorcycling, softball, dirt bike racing, and BMX. He loved his boys, Ashton and Eli, and loved teaching them to swim and play ball, and teaching Ashton to bowl. Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Donald and Gertrude Formo, and Arnold and Myrtle Jorgens, and an aunt, Alta “Penny” Muller. Survivors include his wife, Kelly Jorgens of Fergus Falls; two sons, Ashton Jorgens, age 8, and Eli Jorgens, age 1; his special Godchildren, Brittany Hedstrom, Daniel Muller, Scott Hedstrom, Devin Schrieber and Colton Meyer; his parents, Jeannette and James Jorgens of Dalton; three aunts, Janet Formo and Janice (Norman) Miller, all of Fergus Falls, and Marian (Gordon) Grage of Dalton; his uncle, Les Muller of Foxhome; and his cousins, Gail (Kent) Hedstrom of Elbow Lake, and Daniel Muller of Foxhome. Visitation: 1-3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with a 2:30 p.m. prayer service and resumes one hour prior to the service at the church Service: 11 a.m. Monday, August 20, 2012, at Grace United Methodist Church in Fergus Falls Clergy: Reverend Bob Kandels Interment: Knollwood Memorial Gardens in Fergus Falls Olson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls is in charge of the arrangements.
