Sally Ann Evrist, 72, of Fergus Falls, died Tuesday, March 26, 2019, at Lake Region Healthcare, Fergus Falls, MN.
Sally was born September 2, 1946, to Jeff Felty and Louise (Cone) Roddy in Albuquerque, NM. In 1964 she graduated from Colton High School in Colton, CA. Sally and Ernest Charles “Chuck” Evrist were married on October 2, 1971, in Rialto, CA.
Sally had mastered her position as an LSM (letter sorting machine) operator for the United States Postal Service. She served as a mail clerk in San Bernardino, CA, from 1967-1982. She was a food preparation supervisor for VVCS (Victor Valley Christian School) in Victorville, CA, from 1987-1992. She worked on an assembly line at Tracy Minnetronix in Tracy, MN, from 1994-1998.
In between working she poured her heart into home-making, socializing and cooking. She was a nurturing and virtuous woman, a blessing to her family. Throughout Sally’s married life she shared her gift and natural talent of writing, hospitality, decorating and catering for friends, family, church and community activities. Sally will be remembered most how much she loved Jesus, her incredible smile and her ability to love well.
She is preceded in death by her father, Jeff Felty; son, Samuel James “Jamie” Evrist and grandmother, Alice Cone.
Sally is survived by her husband, Ernest Charles “Chuck” Evrist; daughter, Karie Leann (Jason Everett) Gilbertson; grandchildren, Seraphina Joy Gilbertson and Deborah Pearl Gilbertson as well as her mother, Louise Roddy and a brother, Bob Felty.
Visitation: One hour prior to the service
Memorial Service: 1:00 p.m., Friday, March 29, 2019 at Olson Funeral Home, Fergus Falls
Clergy: Chaplain Paul Hohncke and Pastor David Mngodo
Interment: at a later date in California
