Rosina Erickson

Rosina I. "Arlie" Erickson, 96, formerly of Rothsay, died Tuesday, March 27, 2007 at the Pioneer Retirement Community in Fergus Falls. She was born October 15, 1910, in Carlos, Minnesota, the daughter of Julius and Louisa (Mueller) Helmstetter. She grew up and attended school in Carlos. On May 14, 1937, she married Robert W. Erickson in Osakis, Minnesota. She was a loving wife, mom and grandma. Through the years she was employed at Lein's Grocery Store, Ostlund's Grocery Store, and the Rothsay Truck Stop. Rosina was a member of Hamar Lutheran Church and it's WELCA and Circle, as well as the Akron Homemakers and the Rothsay Senior Citizens. She enjoyed rosemaling, quilling, gardening, and was a Minnesota Twins fan. Preceding her in death were her parents; four sisters; a grandson, Jason Teberg; and a great-grandson, William Slusher. Survivors include her husband, Robert "Bob" Erickson of Rothsay; children: Roberta and Ralph Ouse of Rothsay, Rebecca and Duane Slusher of Fargo, and Ruth Ann and Lorin Hansen and Rosalind "Roz" and Larry Teberg, all of Rothsay; grandchildren: Ramona (Lynn) Johnson, Renee (Jim) Rubish, Roger (Karen) Ouse, Vince (April) Slusher, Bob (Cathy) Slusher, Kim (Dana) Jensen, Paul (Shellee) Hansen, Diane Link, Neil Hansen, and Shelly (Mark) Walter; 29 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and one brother, Julius Helmstetter of Osakis. Visitation:      5-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with a 7 p.m. public prayer service,and one hour prior to the service at the church.
