Rose Braun, 100, of Fergus Falls, died Thursday, January 3, 2019, at PioneerCare in Fergus Falls.
Rose was born on October 25, 1918, in Judson, ND, the daughter of Emanuel and Rose (Koch) Ferderer. She grew up on the family farm and received her schooling in North Dakota. On November 30, 1941, Rose married Roy Braun in Cheyenne, Wyoming. While Roy was in the military, they moved several times including time in California, Wyoming, Washington and Oklahoma. When Roy was stationed in New York she moved back to Fergus Falls and lived with his parents. It was there that they later made their home and raised their six children.
Through the years Rose enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, crocheting, gardening, fishing and camping with her husband, watching the Minnesota Twins, but most of all spending time with her family. More recently, she enjoyed playing cards with her friends at Mill Street and the local Senior Center. Rose was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.
Rose was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roy, in 1985; two daughters, Marilyn and Shirley; four sisters; five brothers and daughter-in-law, Kay Braun.
She is survived by her daughters, Kathy (David) Anderson of Sauk Centre, Barb (Mark) Anderson of Fergus Falls and Pat Braun of Underwood; son, Joe Braun (Mary Johnson) of Fergus Falls; 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Tillie Morrell and Monica Morrell; sisters-in-law, Irene Bjone and Eldora Braun and also, numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation: One hour prior to the service at PioneerCare Chapel.
Service: 1:00 PM Monday, January 7, 2019 at PioneerCare Chapel, Fergus Falls
Clergy: Chaplain David Strom
Interment: Oak Grove Cemetery, Fergus Falls
