Ronnie Weldon Whitlock Sr., 71, of Fergus Falls, MN, passed into heaven on February 23, 2015, at Lake Region Healthcare due to complication of Parkinson’s disease.
He was born on April 25, 1943 to Arthur and Gertrude Whitlock in Fergus Falls, MN. He attended school in Bear River, Maple Hill and Hibbing.
Ronnie was known as a jack of all trades. He worked for Ryan Brothers Transfer, Range Cornice Roofing in Hibbing and Walmart, Greenthumb, First Baptist Church and Productive Alternatives in Fergus Falls. He was a campground host at Elks Point in Fergus Falls, MN. He was also the owner of Whitlock’s Carpet Cleaning of Fergus Falls, MN.
Ronnie was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed fixing things. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. He attended church at Battle Lake Alliance Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Frank Whitlock, Jim Whitlock, Harvey Whitlock, Jerry Whitlock and Ralph who died in infancy; his sisters, Ruth Johnson, and Jane Shearer and a granddaughter Esther Matheny.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda (Boldt) and his former wife Judy (Taylor); his children Scott Whitlock of Chisholm, MN, Rayne (Steve) Arnold of Fergus Falls formally of Beaufort, SC, (RJ) Ronnie Weldon Whitlock II, and Rosemary (Ben) Matheny both of Fergus Falls, MN; his grandchildren, Larry Jenkins of Charleston, SC and Scott Jenkins of Beaufort, SC and several nephews and nieces; siblings, William (June) Whitlock and Donna Hill both of Hibbing, MN.
Visitation: One hour prior to the service at the church
Service: 1 p.m. Saturday, March 7, 2015 at the Battle Lake Alliance Church in Battle Lake, MN.
