Ronald Dean Stanley, 60, a resident of Fergus Falls, died Thursday, September 13, 2007, at Triumph Hospital in Fargo, North Dakota. He was born November 30, 1946, in Bremerton, Washington, the son of Lois (Pults) and Charles Stanley. He grew up in Tacoma, Washington, and attended Stadium High School. On April 14, 1964, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and was stationed aboard the U.S.S. Estes. He was discharged in February of 1966. Upon his return he married his high school sweetheart, Linda Lea Wilson in Tacoma. The family lived in Waconia, Minnesota, where he worked for the Tonka Corporation. They later moved to the Otter Tail Lake area, where he worked for the Minn-Dak sugar beet plant and later for RD Offutt Corporation in Perham. Due to his health, he moved to River Bend Apartments in Fergus Falls, and in November of 2005 he became a resident of the Fergus Falls Veterans Home. He was a huge Minnesota Vikings and Twins fan, and loved to fish. Preceding him in death were his parents and his former wife, Linda. Survivors include his daughter, Ronda Loken of Fergus Falls; his son, Rodney (Stacy Gardin) Stanley of Fergus Falls; ten grandchildren: Natasha, Jerica, Brandon, Jesse, Jacob, Tyler, Nathan, Kayla, Taylor, and Nikolas; two great-grandchildren, Justin and Alex; and his siblings: brothers - Robert, Richard, Randy, Wesley and Rusty, and sisters - Leslie and Melody, all of Washington State.
