Robert Stock

Robert Arnold Stock, 71, a resident of Fergus Falls, died Tuesday, September 27, 2011, in rural Fergus Falls. He was born June 20, 1940, in Fergus Falls, Minnesota, the son of Arnold and Florence (Schreiber) Stock. He grew up on the farm in Western Township, attending school at School District #49, and the “West Central School of Agriculture” in Morris, graduating in 1958. He then returned to the area to farm. On March 26, 1966, he married Bonita Ohe at South Immanuel Lutheran Church, rural Rothsay. He farmed with his father and brother in what was known as Arnold Stock and Sons Incorporated. He retired from farming in 1991. Robert enjoyed going south for the winter, and hunting. He was a member of the Western Presbyterian Church and it’s session, and was a former Elk. He was preceded in death by his father, Arnold. Survivors include his mother, Florence Stock of Fergus Falls; a daughter, Suzette Stock, and her son, Maxwell, both of Fargo; two sons, Bradley Stock of Foley, and Brett Stock of Clearwater; two sisters, Judy (Jerry) Held of Cross Lake, MN, and Deb (Les) Carlson of Fergus Falls; a brother, Dennis (Renee) Stock of Dalton; and numerous nieces and nephews. There will be a memorial service at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 1, 2011, at the Olson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls, with a time to visit one hour prior to the service. Reverend John Lindholm will officiate. Interment will be at the Western Presbyterian Cemetery, rural Fergus Falls. Olson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls is in charge of the arrangements.
