Robert Poyzer

Robert Poyzer, 91, a resident of Crosby, formerly of Fergus Falls, died Sunday, June 16, 2019 at Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby, MN.
Robert was born in Fargo, ND on March 31, 1928, the son of Melvin and Maybelle (Evenson) Poyzer. He graduated from Fargo Senior High in 1946. Robert attended University of North Dakota where he graduated in 1950 with a degree in Business Administration.
On November 8, 1950 he married Lois Kleinke at Immanuel Church in Wadena, MN. In 1955 Robert joined the United States Air Force and served until 1957. In 1956 he was promoted from 2nd Lieutenant to 1st Lieutenant.
Robert was employed by the State of Minnesota as the District Representative for the Department of Health until his retirement in 1996. Prior employment was in Sales.
He was a current member of Heartwood Non-Denominational Church in Crosby, MN.
Robert enjoyed fishing, golf and coin collecting.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Melvin and Maybelle Poyzer; brothers, Marvin and Quentin Poyzer.
Survived by his wife, Lois Poyzer of Crosby, MN; children, Debra Johnston (Rich) of Seattle, WA, Niki Getschel (Keith) of Harris, MN, and Lance Poyzer of Crosby, MN.; grandchildren, Allison Altepeter (Andrew), Daniel Getschel (Dana), and Brett Johnston (Mindy); great-grandchildren, Emmalee, Evelyn and Ethan Altepeter, Sidney and Logan Getschel; Brother Harley Poyzer and wife Shirley of Fergus Falls, MN. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Service: Friday, June 21, 2019 at 11 a.m., Heartwood Presbyterian Homes, Conference Center, 500 Heartwood Drive, Crosby, MN 56441.
