Ricky Alan Anderson, 59, a resident of Fergus Falls, died Sunday, August 27, 2017, at Mayo Hospital in Rochester, MN.
He was born on June 10, 1958, in Fergus Falls, MN, to Otto and Lois (Johnson) Anderson. Rick attended school in Fergus Falls and graduated with the class of 1976.
On September 12, 1987, he married Renae Flink, at the First United Church of Christ in Fergus Falls.
Rick had a long career in automotive service, including 25 years at Minnesota Motors where he was Assistant Service Manager. Rick always focused on his customers, exceeding their expectations and finding a way to get the job done. He was also employed with Nelson Ford, Fleet Farm, and Premier Meats. He will be remembered by his co-workers for his great sense of humor and numerous practical jokes.
Rick loved watching the Minnesota Vikings, Twins, and Wild. He also enjoyed playing sports such as baseball, hockey, and over 30 years of city league softball. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved deer, duck, and pheasant hunting as well as fishing. Rick also enjoyed riding motorcycles. He had a love for animals especially his golden retriever ‘Whiskey’ and cat ‘Runi’. He was a very dedicated and loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Preceding him in death were his father, Otto; Brandon Boswell; and father-in-law, Paul Flink.
Survivors include his wife, Renae Anderson of Fergus Falls; children, Katie (Terry) Gilbert of Fergus Falls, Ashley Anderson of Fergus Falls; grandchildren, Garrett Gilbert, Jaxon Gilbert, Treyton Gilbert, Houston Boswell, Calyen Boswell; mother, Lois Anderson of Fergus Falls; siblings, Steve (Barbara Randolph-) Anderson of Hopkins, Mark (Tamara) Anderson of Fergus Falls; mother-in-law, Carol Flink of Fergus Falls; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
Memorials may be directed to the Rick A. Anderson Benefit Fund at Bell Bank in Fergus Falls.
Visitation: 5-7 p.m. Thursday, August 31, 2017, at Zion Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls, with a 6:30 p.m. public prayer service, and resuming one hour prior to the service at the church.
Service: 11 a.m. Friday, September 1, 2017, at Zion Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls

Interment: Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery, Fergus Falls
