Rickie Brown

Rickie Wayne Brown, 62, a resident of Fergus Falls, died Tuesday, June 21, 2011, at Lake Region Hospital in Fergus Falls. He was born March 28, 1949, in Alexandria, Minnesota, the son of Ronald W. and Jeanette E. (Synstelien) Brown. He attended elementary school at Agnes Lynne Elementary in Elbow Lake, and then Elbow Lake High School. Rick worked at the family run sales barn, Elbow Lake Livestock Sales, during his school years with his parents, brothers, and sister. After his time in the U. S. Army, Rick held various sales positions. He loved being in sales and was a success in this field. He enjoyed reading, fishing, watching movies, and spending time with those he cared about. Preceding him in death were his parents, Ronald and Jeanette Brown, and a brother, James. Survivors include his children: Kristi Lohse, Shanda (Shaun Kugler) Brown, and Katie (Mike Gross) Priem; three grandchildren: Kadie McCalla, Taylor Lohse, and Julianna Mauch; his siblings: Roger (Phyllis) Brown, Ron Brown, Randy (Nancy) Brown, and Janice Brown; and numerous nieces and nephews. His family would like to thank Rick’s special friend, Rebel Van Vickle for her care and companionship to the very end. There will be a private family service held at a later date.
