Richard Alvin Foshaug, 82, of Erhard, died Friday, March 7, 2014 at Pioneer Care in Fergus Falls, MN.
He was born January 28, 1932, at his home in rural Dalton, Minnesota, the son of Alvin and Myrtle Bessie (Johnson) Foshaug. He grew up attending the Dalton school through the 8th grade.
Richard served in the United States Army from January 1951 to November 1952, and worked for the Burlington Northern Railroad company from 1953 to 1988.
Richard enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting and fishing, and he loved playing bingo. Through the years, he also enjoyed spending time in Anoka with his sons.
Preceding him in death were his grandparents; parents; son, Dennis; brother, Stanley; sister, Muriel Olson; brother-in-law, Otto Olson; and two nieces, Nancy Bordson and Becky Foshaug.
Survivors include his three sons, Duane, David, and Dean of Anoka, MN; sister, Betty (Donald) Funkhouser of Dalton, MN; sister-in-law, Ardyce Foshaug of Evansville, MN; many nieces and nephews; and special friend, Jerilyn Kugler of Erhard, MN.
Visitation: One hour prior to the service at the funeral home
Service: 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 14, 2014 at Olson Funeral Home, Fergus Falls, MN

Interment: Ten Mile Cemetery, rural Dalton, MN
