Richard "Dick" Durham, 61, of Fergus Falls, died Saturday, December 22, 2007, at his home. He was born August 12, 1946, in Gibson City, Illinois, the son of Charles and Helen (Morefield) Durham. He completed his high school education in Gibson City and then moved to Minneapolis, where he attended Tech School. In 1966, he married Peggy Erickson near Dalton. They lived in Illinois, Grand Forks, North Dakota and DesMoines, Iowa, settling in the Dalton, Minnesota area in the mid 1970s. The couple had two sons, John and Scott. After moving to the area he then began working as a Human Services Technician at the Regional Treatment Center in Fergus Falls. On March 30, 1980, he married Wanda Jorgens in Loveland, Colorado. The couple, along with Wanda's daughter, Kari, made their home in Colorado, where he worked in the glass business. In 1982, they returned to Fergus Falls, where he resumed work at the Regional Treatment Center. In 1994, he became the Business Agent for the AFSCME Union. Dick loved to travel in his RV, spend time with his family, read, fish, cook and was known for his bar-b-qued chicken. Preceding him in death were his parents; a sister, Marilyn; and a brother, Larry. Survivors include his wife, Wanda; two sons, John (Lori) Durham of Moorhead and Scott (Whitney) Durham of St. Charles, MO; a daughter, Kari (Daniel) Pawlik of Ham Lake; nine grandchildren; one brother, Gene (Jeannette) Durham of IL; two sisters, Charlene Durham of IL and Nancy (John) Benison of IL, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
