Rhodell Jensen, 86, a resident of Rothsay, died Friday, June 3, 2011, at the Pelican Valley Nursing Home in Pelican Rapids. She was born September 6, 1924, in Breckenridge, the daughter of Carl and Alma (Skugrud) Jensen. She grew up in the Rothsay area and graduated from Rothsay High School. Following graduation, she entered the US Navy WAVES, serving from 1944-1946. Rhodell graduated from Moorhead State University with a degree in Accounting. She was employed by General Mills in Minneapolis for over 30 years as an accountant. In 1986, she retired and moved back to Rothsay, becoming a resident of the Pelican Valley Health Care Center in December 2010. She was a member of Rothsay Senior Citizens, PARTNERS and New Life Lutheran Church. She enjoyed playing cards, golfing, bowling, fishing, watching the Minnesota Twins and Vikings and game shows. She was known for her daily trips to the Rothsay Truck Stop and also made numerous trips to area casinos. Preceding her in death were seven sisters and six brothers. Survivors include numerous nieces and nephews, whom she enjoyed, along with their families. Visitation one hour prior to the service at the church Service 2 pm Tuesday, June 7, 2011, at the New Life Lutheran Church, Rothsay Clergy Reverend Paul Huso Interment Hamar Lutheran Cemetery, Rothsay Funeral Home Olson Funeral Home, Fergus Falls
