Reinhold Jonas Koehn, 91, a resident of Richville, died Monday, May 9, 2011 at Perham Memorial Hospital in Perham, Minnesota. He was born October 25, 1919, in rural Fulda, Minnesota, the son of William and Anna (Lucht) Koehn. He was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church, rural Fulda. He attended country school at District #101 in Nobles County, completing the 8th grade. He then farmed with his parents. On January 21, 1945 he married June Erickson at Immanuel American Lutheran Church, rural Fulda. They farmed at the Koehn farm near Fulda until 1958, when they purchased a resort on Otter Tail Lake. They operated the Rest-n-Reel Resort (now Zorbaz) until 1973. They moved to Underwood where he was engaged in carpentry. They later moved to Roberts Ranch on Dead Lake where he continued to be the caretaker for many years. June passed away on June 18, 1989. Reinhold was a longtime member of Zion Lutheran Church in Amor. He loved building bird houses and doll furniture, gardening, and loved being a part of nature. Preceding him in death were his parents, his wife, and four brothers, John, Andrew, Wilbert, and Edwin. Survivors include one niece, several nephews, and many friends.
