Phyllis M. Bogen, age 79, of Fergus Falls, died Tuesday, December 28, 2010, at Lake Region Hospital in Fergus Falls. Phyllis Mae Bogen was born October 26, 1931, in Deer Creek, Minnesota the daughter of Harry and Kate Johnson. She graduated from the Deer Creek High School with the Class of 1949. On December 28, 1952 she married Wesley Bogen in Deer Creek. Phyllis and Wesley spent time living in Illinois, and on the North Shore of Lake Superior after they were wed before moving to Fergus Falls in 1961. Phyllis was a well known waitress in the Otter Tail County area for over 54 years, and always had a good joke to share. She was an active member of the VFW as well as the Elks. Phyllis was a longtime member of The Federated Church in Fergus Falls where she enjoyed participating in the Women's Auxiliary. Her faith was strong and her love of family was evident. She enjoyed her many travels with family which took them all over the United States. She took great pride in her many flower gardens. Preceding her in death were her parents, Harry and Kate Johnson, her step-mother, Minnie Johnson, and her brother, Bob Johnson. Survivors include her sons: Jeff (Kim) Bogen of Jackson, Wyoming, John (JoAn) Bogen of Jackson, Wyoming, Jerry (Nancy) Bogen of Fergus Falls, MN, and Richard (Lynne) Feldick of Fergus Falls; a sister, Donna Stewart of Mesa, Arizona; seven grandchildren: Ryan, Brianne, Bliss, Craig, Steven, Isaac, and Jordan; as well as several nieces and nephews.
