Pearl M. Jensen

Pearl Marie Jensen, 108, a resident of Fergus Falls, died Tuesday, April 21, 2015, at the Broen Home in Fergus Falls.

Pearl was born on December 7, 1906, in Tordenskjold Township, the daughter of Jens P. and Hannah (Christiansen) Jensen. She attended grade school in District 43 and graduated from Fergus Falls High School in 1928. Pearl continued her education at Moorhead State Teacher’s College, receiving a Teacher’s Certificate in 1930.

She worked as a teacher at several rural schools, in various sections of Otter Tail County for 25 years. She later taught second grade at Carlton Public Schools and retired in 1972.

Pearl was a lifetime member of Tordenskjold Free Lutheran Church. She enjoyed cars, traveling, sewing, and roses.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Jens and Hannah; brothers, George, Kermit, Orville; sister, Isabelle Dahlen Tordsen.

Pearl is survived by her sister, Harriet Meyer and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation: One hour prior to the service at the auditorium
Service: 2 p.m. Friday, April 24, 2015, at Light and Life Auditorium, at the Broen Home, Fergus Falls
Clergy: Pastor Mark Johnson and Pastor Joel Dahlen
Interment: Tordenskjold Cemetery, Underwood, Minnesota
Olson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls is in charge of the arrangements.
