Pauline M. Glorvigen, a resident of Fergus Falls, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 24, 2015, at the Pioneer Heritage Cottage in Fergus Falls, at the age of 96.
Pauline Marion Anderson was born on October 6, 1918, to Robert and Susan (Thies) Anderson, near Tintah, MN. She attended school in Foxhome and Fergus Falls.
On December 26, 1941, Pauline married Charles J. Glorvigen and they made their home in Fergus Falls. Pauline worked on the war effort as a civilian in Wisconsin, Florida and Washington states. She also worked in the Otter Tail County Treasurer and Auditors offices, retiring in 1978.
Pauline was very active in the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, in which she served as auxiliary president. She also participated on the ladies drill team in parades and special events. She loved to do needlework and crochet, almost as much as she loved going to the casino. She was very proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Susan Anderson; her husband, Charles, in 1996; three brothers, Ray, Bill and Leslie Anderson; and her sister, Alta (Anderson) Sha.
She is survived by her two sons, Paul (Cindy) Glorvigen of Worthington and Bruce (Judy) Glorvigen of Fergus Falls; four grandchildren, Stacy (Paul) Johnson of Blue Earth, Beth Glorvigen of Sioux Falls, Jesse (Danielle) Glorvigen of Perham and Jenny (Travis) Denney of St. Cloud; eight great-grandchildren, Mitchell, Hannah, Kaitlin, Noah, Brayden, Brooklyn, Ruby and Mia; her brother, Bobb Anderson of Becker; and numerous nieces and nephews.
