Paula Nelson

Paula Jean Nelson, 47, a resident of Georgetown, TX, formerly of Battle Lake entered her eternal home Saturday, May 29 2010 in Texas after a courageous battle with breast cancer. Paula was born September 13, 1962 in Minneapolis, MN to Roy and Geraldine Pederson. She graduated from Battle Lake High School and later went on to become an RN/BSN and Nurse Educator. Paula was deeply rooted in her Faith as well as devoted to her Canine, Feline and Equine family.  Her Zest for Life and Love of People will live on in the many friends and family who will carry on her legacy. Paula is survived by her mother, Geraldine Pederson of Georgetown, Texas; two brothers, Gary (Elaine) Pederson of Andover, Minnesota and Phil (Geri) Pederson of Corcoran, Minnesota; two nieces, Renee (Chuck) Bakos of Elk River, Minnesota and Pamela Pederson of Maple Grove, Minnesota; two nephew’s, Michael (Jordan) and their daughter, the light of Paula’s life… 3 year old Katelyn Pederson of Blaine, Minnesota and Patrick Pederson of Maple Grove, Minnesota.  She leaves behind numerous EMS and Hospital Friends stretching from Minnesota to Texas. Memorials can be made in Paula’s name to Susan E. Komen Breast Cancer Research Center or the charity of your choice. A Memorial Service in Texas is scheduled for 2 pm on Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at the Beck Funeral Home on 15709 Ranch Road 620 Round Rock, TX 78717.  Local Arrangements: Visitation:  4 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 4, 2010 at Olson Funeral Home, Fergus Falls, MN and one hour prior to the service at the church. Service:   10 a.m. Saturday, June 5, 2010 at the Olson Funeral Home chapel. Burial:   Oak Grove Cemetery, Fergus Falls, MN
