Paul Anderson

Paul “Buzz” Thomas Anderson, 59, a resident of Fergus Falls, passed away peacefully at Methodist Hospital Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota on Sunday, June 28, 2009 after a long courageous battle with leukemia. He was born December 14, 1949, at Wright’s Hospital in Fergus Falls, the son of Willard T. and Marlys Jean (Ingebretson) Anderson. He attended Fergus Falls elementary schools and graduated from Fergus Falls Senior High in 1968. He went on to Alexandria Technical College where he received his Associate Sales Degree, and then Fergus Falls Community College for the two year Business Degree.  He made a living driving truck for most of his life. He worked in the family business, Anderson Transfer and Storage, and later Oasis Lawn Care Service and Jacobson Transport of Wahpeton. Paul married Mary Louise (Sabbe) Anderson on October 29, 1977, and to this union one daughter, Jennifer, was born. After Mary’s passing, he married Patty Jean (Bogie) Anderson on August 22, 1986. Together they raised their three children in Fergus Falls. He was confirmed at First United Church of Christ in Fergus Falls and remained a member there his entire life. Paul had a passion for woodworking and the outdoors. His greatest joy was spending time with his six grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his parents; his first wife, Mary; and a brother in infancy. Survivors include his wife, Patty of Fergus Falls; three children: Jennifer (Shaun) Anderson of Dalton, Julie Bjerkness of Eden Prairie, and Todd (Giovana) Anderson of Fergus Falls; six grandchildren; a sister, Kathy (Kenny) Irish; a brother, Miles Anderson (Laurie Mullen); and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
