Othelia “Tillie” Edith Erlandson, 82, a resident of Fergus Falls, died Tuesday, October 14, 2014, at PioneerCare in Fergus Falls.
She was born on November 23, 1931 to Edward and Edith (Harris) Oak in Folden Township. She attended grade school in Vining.
On June 13, 1953 she married Goodwin T. Erlandson at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls. Othelia worked as a nursing assistant before marrying Goodwin and continued working as a nursing assistance after in Fergus Falls.
She was a member of Aastad Lutheran Church and belonged to the Ladies Aid and a bible study group.
Othelia enjoyed working on her vegetable garden and flower garden but must of all she loved cooking, loving and taking care of Goodwin and her children.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Goodwin; brothers, Walter Oak and Ed Oak; sisters, Lily Webb and Dorothy Paler.
She is survived by her children, Gail Edmunds of Ada, Jeffrey Erlandson of Fergus Falls, Dean (Wendy) Erlandson of rural Dalton, Anthony (Patty) Erlandson of Fergus Falls; five grandchildren, Thea (Jeremy) Ciancanelli, JoAnna (Zack) Tysdal, Patrick Knutson, Simon Erlandson, Devin Erlandson; three great-grandchildren, Brielle and Arianna Tysdal and Samuele Ciancanelli; brother, Wesley Oak of Park Rapids; sister, Doris (Mervin) Martin of Sundburg.
Visitation: One hour prior to the service at the church
Service: 1 p.m. Saturday, October 18, 2014 at Aastad Lutheran Church, rural Fergus Falls
