Orlean Peterson

Orlean “Deany” Peterson, 87, of Moorhead and formerly of Fergus Falls, died Tuesday, October 26, 2010, at Eventide Nursing Home in Moorhead. She was born September 3, 1923, in Fargo, North Dakota, the daughter of William and Petra (Hendrickson) Pearson. She grew up in Fargo, where she attended high school.  On June 28, 1946, she married Harry Carl Peterson in Fargo. Orlean was a homemaker, raising her family. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband; an infant daughter; three sisters, Ester, Olive, and Verna; and one brother, Wallace. Survivors include her three sons: Terryl Peterson of Fargo, Bruce (Phyllis) Peterson of Fergus Falls, and Bryan (Lynn) Peterson of Moorhead; one daughter, Candace (Tim) Skager of Fergus Falls; seven grandchildren: Kory, Barry, Chris, Lee, Jessica, Kyle, and Katelyn; six great-grandchildren: Lance, Kortney, Mallory, Alexis, Kamryn, and Hailey; a sister, Winnie; and two pets, Killer and Bozo. There are no services planned at this time. Olson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls is in charge of arrangements.
