Olga Peterson

Olga E. Peterson, 96, a resident of Fergus Falls, passed away Monday, August 25, 2008, at the Pioneer Retirement Community in Fergus Falls. She was born April 4, 1912, in Fergus Falls, Minnesota, the daughter of Even T. and Oleena (Harildstad) Trosvik. Olga was baptized, confirmed, and was a lifelong member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. She grew up in Fergus Falls, graduating from high school there in 1930. In 1939 she married Neal Peterson, and they were later divorced. She worked at the Peterson Meat Market and for the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Department. She later worked in the office at Norby’s Department Store. Olga enjoyed many church activites and circle and was an avid reader. She had been a resident of the Pioneer Retirement Community for 12 years and it had become her home with many friends. Preceding her in death were her parents, Even and Oleena, and her brothers, Thor, Ole, Fred and C. Henry. Survivors include her two nieces, Barb (Lloyd) Collings of Brooklyn Park, and Carol Joye (Richard) Pribbernow of Fergus Falls, and one nephew, Fred (Kathy) Trosvik of Ham Lake, along with many great nieces and nephews. Visitation: One hour prior to the service at the Pioneer Home Service:  11 a.m. Saturday, August 30, 2008, at the Pioneer Home Chapel in Fergus Falls Clergy:  Chaplain Harry Olson Interment:  Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery, Fergus Falls Funeral Home: Olson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls Memorials are preferred to the donor’s choice.
